SUPPORTED INTERNSHIP
WHAT WE DO
We offer young people aged 16-24 who are in receipt of an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) with real life work experience whilst being supported by a job coach on site. This experience will equip you with the workplace skills necessary to aid you into achieving sustainable paid employment.
The TALPER Supported Internship Programme will help you to gain the work place skills you need in addition to learning different job roles you will also be developing your life skills, such as, communication, confidence and independence.
The Program:
Free for young people with an EHCP
39 week programme which can start anytime of the year!
26 weeks in a work placement, 5 days a week with embedded Maths, English and employability skills
Remaining weeks will focus on completion of functional skills, and seeking job opportunities.

Retail: Learners refine their customer service skills and gain insights into sales strategies and merchandising.

Hospitality: Learners acquire proficiency in guest relations and food and beverage service. They also develop expertise in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in hospitality settings.

Childcare: Learners hone their abilities in child development, nurturing, and supervision. They learn to create engaging and educational activities while ensuring the safety and well-being of young children.

Sports, Leisure and Youth work: Learners utilise their skills to involve young people in sports and leisure activities. They collaborate as part of a team to create an environment that is inclusive for the entire community

Motor Vehicle: Learners will enhance their motor mechanic skills in a practical setting. They will learn how to engage with and support customers with specific needs.
