OUR PLACEMENTS
TALPER Supported Internships are for learners that have reached their ceiling in education or for learners that simply want to get out to work and start to learn workplace skills to support their transition into adulthood and future paid employment whilst being supported by a job coach. Work placements serve as invaluable opportunities for our learners, equipping them with transferable and marketable workplace skills. Additionally, they serve to highlight to employers the considerable value our learners bring to the workplace
Within our program, we offer a diverse array of placements spanning retail, hospitality, motor vehicle, IT, leisure and childcare sectors. These placements offer our learners the opportunity to immerse themselves in real-world working environments, facilitating the development of practical skills crucial for professional success. Supported by dedicated job coaches, participants cultivate essential competencies such as planning a journey, effective time management, teamwork, and adherence to instructions. Moreover, these experiences foster the growth of confidence, independence, and adept communication and social skills. Education
Fashion Retail – Helping customers find clothing and accessories, processing sales, organising stock, and creating attractive shop displays while delivering excellent customer service.
Admin – Providing office and organisational support by handling emails, scheduling, data entry, filing, answering calls, and maintaining accurate records.
Education – Assisting teachers, students, or educational staff in schools or learning environments by supporting lessons, administration, and student development.

Childcare
Charity – Supporting charitable organisations through fundraising, customer service, community outreach, event support, and helping deliver services to those in need.
Hospitality – Providing excellent customer service in hotels, restaurants, bars, and event venues while ensuring guests have a positive experience. Duties may include serving customers, handling bookings, and maintaining clean, welcoming environments.
Childcare – Supporting the care, safety, and development of children in nurseries, schools, or childcare settings through activities, supervision, and positive interaction.

Social Media & Marketing – Promoting brands, businesses, or organisations through social media platforms, online content, advertising, and marketing campaigns
Sports, Leisure & Youth Work – Supporting individuals and communities through sports, fitness, leisure activities, and youth programmes that promote wellbeing, teamwork, confidence, and personal development. Responsibilities may include coaching, supervising activities, organising events, and engaging with young people in a positive and supportive environment.
Food Retail – Assisting customers in supermarkets, cafés, or food stores by stocking shelves, operating tills, preparing food products, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
